Mental Support - we all need it

There are too many young parents, especially young mothers who are made to suffer in silence. I will say it again and again, there is not enough mental support for teenage and young single mothers.

It breaks my heart when I hear of suicides of young mothers. What could lead a woman to think her life was that unbearable that she would take the decision to end her life, and leave her child in this world without her.

It is time that we address the topic, from post natal depression to major depressive disorder, we need to be advised and assisted, not made to feel that we are being bad carers.
Not being able to cope does not mean you are doing a bad job. It means that you are putting in so much work and trying so hard to do your best that you are physically and mentally exhausted.

Mark my words; no matter how low you feel some days, there will always be sunshine after the thunder storm. Stick to your plan because good days will come, remember your children love you and believe in you. You are the best! and they say the most difficult battles are given to the strongest people. That's you! :)

If you find that your emotions and situation is getting the best of you, go and see your doctor, don't be afraid to ask for help. If you are going through a tough period, it's okay, we all do we are human. And we happen to be young humans caring and raising young children.

At times we need help to help ourselves.

Never Give Up!

Fall down 7 times, Stand up 8.

You are super woman in the eyes of your child.

RIP
